+ What are your credentials / licenses?
Our acupuncturist is Board Certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine) and is licensed by the New York State Board.
Additionally, Taisha Gonzalez is licensed in Massage Therapy, and has received certifications in kinesiotaping, laser therapy, rehabilitation, and facial rejuvenation.
+ Does acupuncture hurt? Are the needles sterile?
The needles are extremely thin and gentle, they are sterile and one time use. We have experience treating needle phobic patients, and first time acupuncture patients.
+ How do I know it's safe?
Acupuncture has been practiced for centuries, and is now recommended by World Health Organization, National Institute of Health, and the CDC. It is safe when performed by a licensed practitioner. In New York, acupuncture is regulated by the NY State Education Depatment, ensuring practitioners meet specific training, board certification and safety standards.
+ Do you accept insurance?
We are out of network and therefore do not directly bill insurance.
However, many of our patients easily receive reimbursement from their insurance on an out-of-network basis by filing directly with their insurance company. Upon request, we will gladly provide you with the documentation you need in order to do that.
+I don't have insurance coverage, do you offer CareCredit plans?
Yes, we are the only acupuncture clinic in Westchester certified to offer CareCredit. You can check our CareCredit page to see if you prequalify.
If you already have a CareCredit card, from your dentist or veterinarian, no need to reapply. We can look up your account during your consultation. Please bring your active card and photo ID to your consult appointment.

+ Is there a problem if I'm on medication or doing other conventional medical procedures?
Absolutely not. We are always here to support YOUR goals and YOUR decisions. If you choose to take medications prescribed by a doctor, we respect that choice. Same with the choice to do surgery, or any other conventional medical procedure.
Our goal is to help you be successful, no matter what YOU decide to do outside of our office.
+What treatments are right for me?
We offer acupuncture, dry needling and various integrative modalities. We recommend scheduling a free consultation to learn more about which treatment options would best suit your condition and health goals.+How long are the office visits?
Your initial consultation usually takes no more than 25 minutes, we’ll make sure you’re clear on everything before we start your first treatment. If there is time for treatment, we will start your treatment plan the same day. The total time for your first consult and treatment if both are performed on the first visit, will be 60-75 minutes.
Follow-ups are typically around 35 – 45 minutes each, with 25 minutes allocated to the treatment and the rest for consultation and check-out.
